Sound Of Islay

The photograph is of the start of the passage through the Sound Of Islay. The sea was calm, mist hiding the mountain tops, as the current gripped the boat. Tramontana set a new personal best speed record of ten knots. Through the tiller, I could feel various sideways push and pulls, the swirling water hinting of underwater rocks on the seabed.
