After Tramontana's twenty-seventh day in the Caledonian Canal it was time to start the voyage home. With Helen and Frida back in Shrewsbury, Guy joined me as crew. In spite of not arriving until 10.20 pm the night before, he was up at 6.30 am to help get Tramontana ready for sea. By 10 am we had gone down Neptune's Staircase and were passing Fort William. It's a good start for Guy with spectacular views down Glen Coe and interesting moments on the helm through the Corran Narrows. There was no wind, so the engine ran steadily throughout the day and into the night.
