Working The Sails

The reduced ship's complement of Robert, Fran, Chris and myself meant that we all had more to do to keep Charm sailing with optimum efficientcy. This photograph shows Fran adjusting the Mainsail. Much to Robert's pleasure, Charm, sails trimmed, glided past a couple of modern GRP yachts using their engines to make progress. We were easily doing seven knots under sails alone, one of those from the tide.
