ChartPlotter When Anchored

At Anchor

When anchored, I leave Tramontana's chartplotter running. It shows how that the boat drifts about the anchor, over an area within a circle of radius 15 metres. The idea is that I can see at a glance if the boat's drifted more than it should, if the anchor is being dragged. I took the photograph at 4 am when I woke to find a surprisingly strong wind blowing. As it was from the shore out to sea I went back to sleep. By 9 am the bay was again calm and so I opted for the luxuary of a day at rest, writing emails, sending texts and writing up the ship's log. Oh, and more sleep. Incidentally, the photograph shows the latitude and longitude location of the anchorage, which I can recommend.
